Father could be Charles Avery as shown in the baptism record or James Burnett as John (noted as illegitimate) is living with James in 1891 along with his mother Annie Avery. Matilda Avery is also noted as illegitimate and her baptism record does not record a father. In subsequent Censuses, John is still living with James but has now adopted the surname Burnett
