Son of William and Annie Stumbles. Killed when battle Cruiser was hit at the Battle of Jutland by a salvo from the German Dreadnought battleship, SMS Van Der Tann on 31 May 1916. The shells penetrated her armour and ignited a magazine causing her to blow up in a cloud of brown cordite smoke and orange flame. Only a handful of survivors were picked up. Frederick was not one of them. He was 19. |
